Abby and Jimmy were one of my first couples to book for 2016 and they sure set the tone for a wonderful year! I had so much fun shooting their engagement session at Picturesque Studios last fall. Seriously, I loved every photo. I even printed a 20×30 for my studio! After the session I told them that I had just found out that I was pregnant (they knew before most of my family did!) and that I had no concerns about shooting their wedding as well even though I would be towards the end of the pregnancy. Any other couple might have been a little nervous, but Abby and Jimmy gave me all of their trust and I’m so thankful they did. I ended up bringing along my intern and third shooter, Rachel, to help me with my bags and fill in when I needed to sit down for a minute at the reception. It worked out perfectly! Abby and Jimmy had the most gorgeous day (if you can’t tell by my giant blog post, I had a hard time narrowing down photos) where they focused on what was important to them. This is the first time that I have photographed a wedding at Christ the King and it was everything I expected. The Art Deco architecture that Tulsa has is so stunning…and I always love receptions at the historic Cain’s Ballroom! Thank you for being so gracious and congrats on a perfect day, Abby and Jimmy! Enjoy Europe!

Those lashes!
The guys got ready at the loft in Cain’s Ballroom and it made for some very cool and dramatic shots. My second shooter, Heath, nailed it!
Abby did a first look with her dad. He hadn’t even seen the dress before this moment. It was so special!
Then we did a first look with Abby and Jimmy inside the church!
Jimmy’s mom putting on his bout!
Abby and Jimmy both prayed with their bridesmaids/groomsmen before the ceremony.
Oh, the anticipation before walking down the aisle!
One last hug for his little girl before she becomes a Mrs.
That church though!
Great shot by my intern, Rachel! It was especially helpful to have her at the ceremony where we were given more restrictions than normal on moving around. We ended up just having Rachel and I station at either side and Heath in the balcony. It worked perfectly!
Rachel nailed the kiss!
And just like that, they are married! We shot a few fun photos of the couple outside of the church before heading to the reception.
The reception!
This is what a first dance at Cain’s looks like! 🙂
Father/daughter dance!
Mother/Son dance!
I snuck away with Abby and Jimmy shortly before the exit for a few portraits around downtown Tulsa. Love!
So many gorgeous details on that dress!
For the exit, the guests tossed oats at the couple!
