Caroline and Dalton’s wedding day at First Baptist Church in downtown Tulsa was one of the sweetest events ever! When I had the final meeting with Caroline before the wedding, she mentioned that the ceremony was so very important to them both and it definitely showed. The couple did not want to see each other before the ceremony (which is totally fine! I never try to talk my couples into one or the other…it’s their wedding, not mine) so instead we did a “first touch” so that they could still chat a bit before walking down the aisle. First Baptist has so many great spots for these – I don’t think I’ve ever done a first touch twice in the same spot with different couples. It was still pretty bright outside so we opted for one inside and I just love the photos! After the ceremony I walked with the couple the 2 blocks to Skyloft for the reception, snapping some portraits on the way. (Since I was 34 weeks pregnant at the time, I asked Caroline if she was fine if I switched to black tennis shoes on the way over and for the reception – a tip I picked up from some wedding planners in town. She said that she didn’t care if I was in sweat pants as long as I was comfortable. Haha, I just love this girl!) We had the best weather possible! The reception was so much fun as well. Congrats, you two! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the wedding!    ÂThe first touch!
We did a few portraits of the guys and girls separately before the ceremony. The old part of the church worked perfectly with Caroline’s colors! Plus, it was well shaded which is essential when shooting in the middle of the afternoon.
Cutest ring bearer!
Caroline, you are stunning!
The ceremony!
Ohmygosh! I love it when the groom tear’s up. So sweet, Dalton!
Here are the portraits we took in downtown Tulsa walking from the church to Skyloft. We only had about 10 minutes before they wanted to enter the reception so we made the most of our time!
The reception!
The all-white table decor was stunning!
Above = my shot, Below = my second shooter’s shot. This is why I think shooting with two on wedding day is essential.
Caroline and Dalton took dancing lessons from Hugo at Lion’s Road. They nailed it!
This sweet moment with Dalton and his mom had everyone in tears, especially his dad in the background.
And now the party begins!
