I heart the 4th of July! When I was a kid, I was certain that the fireworks were just for me as my birthday is the 5th. Every year we would drive out to the Liberal, Kansas, baseball field, back up to the fence in our blue Suburban and sit in the back until they started. Every year I was asleep before they ended. Ahhh, such good memories. Every fireworks show brings my childhood back to me…maybe that’s why I love them so much!

These photos are 4 years in the making. We tried and failed, for one reason or another, to get fireworks shots ever since we moved to the Tulsa Metro. I was super excited to get out there this year. I even made my husband and mom get there an hour and a half early so that we could make sure we got the spot that we scouted. The location wasn’t quite as perfect as we hoped, but I think it worked out and there is always next year 🙂 I tried to post a variety of fireworks…there were more that I liked, but you have to stop somewhere…right?

Tulsa Skyline!

This was our view as we waited for the show to start. We have only lived in the Tulsa Metro area for a few years but I have fallen in love with it. This photo warms my heart.

You can’t see all of it, but the circle firework was a happy face. This was probably my favorite one!
