I specialize in weddings but I just love photographing high school seniors. I think it’s because both are very important live events and I love being a small part of it. So when a senior contacts me, I try my best to fit them in my schedule. Holly’s session is the first one that I have done on our new 16-acre outdoor studio and she did amazing! She is a budding photographer and when I gave her a bit of guidance, she ran with it. It doesn’t hurt that she is beautiful and has pretty much perfected the smouldering stare. I had so much fun with her yesterday! Special thanks to Rachel, my beautiful intern, that rocked the reflector and even picked a few bugs off of Holly’s dress. Love her!

We started off with a few photos downtown.

Love those eyes!

These are literally the first shots I took at the outdoor studio. I’m. In. Love!

We had to snap a few with her camera!

I live for these types of nose-scrunched laughs in my photos. Genuinely beautiful.

See what I mean about smouldering?!

The light was perfect. Simply perfect.

I love to shoot one person portraits at f/2.5 (give or take depending on the lens) but for this shot I really wanted to focus on the eyes so I cranked up the aperture to 1.2 so that it blurred everything else out. I shot just above eye height to make the eyes look bigger and really pop. Love!

I just had to throw in a little sun flare goodness.
