Same girl. Same dress. Same stylists. Completely different look! Part 2 of the bridal marathon went amazing. The first shoot, we wanted the classic bride…the second shoot, we went for a more edgy, fashion-forward bride. I told Kate and Mikala to let their creativity flow. A look like this could only be created by letting professionals at their trade do what they love. I am floored by the look that they came up with. Kate actually weaved string into Lily’s hair before making an afro on the other side. (If you’ll notice, there is a theme with hair sweeping to the right). After some debate with Mikala about focusing on the eyes or the lips for the makeup, she decided on the eyes. Good call, Mikala. I just can’t express in words how happy I was with this look.

With as little of guidance as…I think I want a pop of color for the second shoot, how about orange…Liz created a stunning necklace, earring and bracelet set that pulled it all together. She hand strung these beads until she had it just right. Lovely!

We start shooting at our super secret location at about 5:30. I had the most amazing light that I have ever seen to work with. I love it when it all comes together in the end. Lily was amazing! She did everything we asked her too, including wading into a river and rolling in stinky sand. I LOVE my team!
