Here at Picturesque, we went out with a bang for 2017. The Hendricks wedding was our last one of the year and Shelby and Justin were such a joy to work with! I haven’t seen many brides as relaxed as Shelby on the wedding day. Of course, she was also extremely organized leading up to the wedding to make sure everyone knew when to be where. The design of the reception was unlike anything I’ve ever photographed…absolutely stunning! The Mayo Hotel has never looked so beautiful. Thank you for included me to be a small part of the day!  In addition to the wedding, I also had a blast photographing Shelby’s bridals at her parent’s house in Tulsa a few weeks prior. Congrats, Shelby and Justin and much to you both!

Shelby’s something blue!
That dress was perfection!
I have shot many weddings at The Mayo but I have never seen it like this before. An 18-foot floral installation and 6-foot dress on the tables…it was stunning!
The white on white theme was so modern and classy!
Now for the getting ready photos!
My favorite!
This “H” was fabricated by the bride’s father and the florals were installed by The French Bouquet. I love how it looks like it’s floating!
The guests were shuttled to and from The Mayo to Holy Family for the ceremony via the Old Urban Trolleys.
The ceremony!
Congrats, Shelby and Justin!
While I photographed the family formals at the church, my second shooter took a trolley back to The Mayo to photograph the cocktail hour in the Grand Hall. He was also tasked with getting detail shots of the Crystal Ballroom before guests arrived. We could not have successfully covered the entire event without two shooters!
This is an ice sculpture with a raw bar!
A violinist to set the mood.
This is one of my favorite details from the day! For their guest book, Shelby and Justin had their guests sign an original Mayo door. I love this piece of Tulsa history!
We managed to sneak in a few portraits of Shelby and Justin while guests were filtering from the cocktail hour to the reception.
Here is the Crystal Ballroom all lit up just before guests arrived!
The grand entrance and the couple’s first dance!
When I read the words “confetti canon” on the wedding day timeline, you better believe this was one happy photographer. So much fun!
I see many father/daughter dances in a year and from now on they will all be compared to Shelby and her dad. There were lifts, twirls and dips…it was the dance of the night!
See what I mean…
The mother/ son dance was pretty perfect too!
These cheese boards were as much a work of art as they were an appetizer.
The bride’s two brother-in-laws dancing with their girls!
Dinner is served!
I just love this candid moment that my second shooter captured of the flower girl sneaking a peek of the cake.
It looks like her persistence paid off because right after the bride and groom cut the cake, she got the first bite!
If you have never attended a party with IJ Ganem, then you are missing out! He doesn’t just perform, he includes the guests letting them come on stage and sing along in the microphone. There were even a couple times that I could feel someone close to me and I looked up to see a microphone in my face and an expectant IJ wanting me to sing too. Haha – sorry, IJ! Most of the time I don’t even hear what song is playing, I’m concentrating on the photographing the dancing!
So. Many. Fun. Dancing. Shots.
Bouquet and garter tosses!
After the reception, the guests headed to the penthouse for more dancing, snacks and cigars!
