Last September, I (in collaboration with Mikala Ewald of Makeup by Mikala and Kate Burke, Senior Stylist at Ihloff’s Salon) ran a contest for one lucky bride to win a completely free, no strings attached bridal session including hair, makeup, venue and bouquet. This entire package is a $600 value! We were overwhelmed with the response and ended up having 49 brides enter on our facebook page. It was a close race, but Victoria won with over 350 votes. It’s clear that this lucky lady has an amazing support system of friends and family. I am so excited to be able to give this gift to her.

Victoria, Kate, Mikala, Heath and I all met at the Philbrook Museum of Art at 7:30 a.m. this morning to begin prep for the shoot. As she was being pampered, I took her dress, shoes, etc. onto the grounds and got a few detail shots. I could tell at that time that we were going to have stunning light to work with…not a cloud in the sky! At about 8:30, we all headed to the gounds to begin the shoot. It was cold…and Victoria was in a wedding dress. Wedding dresses aren’t known for their warmth. We made sure and brought a little blanket to throw over Victoria’s shoulders inbetween shots. I had a BLAST with this girl! She is a natural in front of the camera and I think she should look into modeling 😉 Here are a few of my favs!
